Congratulations! You deserve a prize for that quilt. You know, I made a scrap quilt in a similar pattern some time ago (it's on my blog). But I didn't make one with the excellent color choices that your's has. Mine was just lights and darks, like a log cabin type.
I say he is a happpy man. This quilt is very neat. Because of the contrasts, it seems like a ethnic piece coming from Africa. In these countries they are artist too.
