current projects

I'm directing my quilting energies primarily on two projects these days (3 if you count a project underway at one of the local nursing homes with a group on non-quilters - when I get back from my trip I will share the story behind this project - it's quite wonderful!)

some might say I'm in a star rut - my last completed quilt was the star wallhanging I donated to FEDOPO for our annual fundraiser. anyhow I just loved the way it turned out I thought I'd use the same basic design for a baby quilt I have to do. the stars are bigger than the one in the wallhanging so the overall measurements are also larger - I expect when finished it will be 48x57 inches. the other project underway is also a baby quilt - but right now I'm at the stage of piling up possible fabrics - unlike my last few quilts which have all been made from those glorious batik fabrics, this quilt will primarily be constructed using some of the fabrics in my african fabric stash! needless-to-say I'm very excited about this project!
